There’s no doubt that you had a great childhood if you have been watching Doraemon and Nobita’s adventures. Doraemon is one of the anime series that we can’t get enough of. This news of a new Doraemon film will surely excite the fans of this cat-like creature who has everything you need in his pocket. The title, poster, and trailer for the upcoming Doraemon 2021 film was recently revealed.
The new movie is titled “Doraemon: Nobita’s Little Star Wars 2021” (Eiga Doraemon: Nobita no Ritoru Sutā Wōzu 2021). This 41st film franchise is a modern reboot of the 1985 film “Doraemon: Nobita’s Little Star Wars. “
According to Anime Network News, Shin Yamaguchi, will direct the film while Dai Sato writes the script. The theme song “Universe,” which is played in the film’s trailer is created by Official HiGE DANdism. CG for the spaceships will be done by Shirogumi, who also worked on the “Stand By Me” Doraemon films.
‘Doraemon’ 2021 Synopsis
One day during summer vacation, a palm-sized alien named Papi appears from a small rocket that Nobita picks up. He is the president of Pirika, a small planet in outer space, and has come to Earth to escape the rebels. Doraemon and his friends are puzzled by Papi’s small size, but as they play together using the secret tool “Small Light”, they gradually become friends. However, a whale-shaped space battleship comes to earth and attacks Doraemon, Nobita and the others in order to capture Papi. Feeling responsible for getting everyone involved, Papi tries to stand up to the rebels. Doraemon and his friends leave for the planet Pirica to protect their dear friend and his home.
The movie synopsis and trailer is exciting especially that Nobita, Shizuka and Doraemon were shrunk into tiny beings similar to what happened in the film “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids.” The gang were seen having a great time with their new alien friend. But it appears that they will encounter some challenges and were captured inside a space craft. We wonder what will happen to them next!
The movie features the voices of Wasabi Mizuta (Doraemon), Megumi Ōhara (Nobita Nobi), Yumi Kakazu (Shizuka Minamoto), Tomokazu Seki (Suneo Honekawa), and Subaru Kimura (Takeshi ‘Giant’ Goda).
“Doraemon: Nobita’s Little Star Wars 2021” will first arrive in Japanese theaters on March 5, 2021. As of this writing, there is no news yet about its international release.
